The books were donations from the community and collected throughout the year.

CONSTITUTION CONTEST

The Pahrump Valley Rotary Club is sponsoring a project to help kids at the ROSEMARY CLARKE MIDDLE SCHOOL to learn about the United States Constitution. Students will be given a copy of the constitution to read and then create a project such as an essay, art work, or video depicting what they have learned about the constitution.

Deadline for their submission is due January 15th, 2022. In February The Pahrump Valley Rotary Foundation will award the winning student and their teacher a $100 gift card

US constitution pocket guide contest

what an exciting time for 8th grade history class to learn about the US constitution. Rotary presented 344 pocket guides to students at Rosemary Clarke middle school we announced there would be a contest. We wanted the children to use their imagination and be creative and tell us what they thought the US constitution meant to them . We had 59 entries among them were essays,  woodworking projects, posters, paintings, flip cards and thumb drives. Five Rotarians gathered to  pick. a contest winner but that was a real tough job we couldn’t just pick one we ended up with two winners Victoria Coward who presented an essay and Michela Carson who presented a poster each student received $100 visa gift card and their teachers also received $100 visa gift card we presented a plaque to the Rosemary Clarke Middle School which will add to each year I look forward to Chairing this event next year Sheree Stringer

BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR PROGRAM

Saturday July 30th at Pahrump Valley High School will be the back to school fair. Rotary has been asked to assist with the distribution of school supplies. Yesterday Ellen and Barbara went on a shopping spree with the approval of the board to purchase up to $1,000.00 in school supplies to benefit the Back to School Fair at the High School this Saturday. We got back packs, sizzlers, hand sanitizer, erasers, pencils, glue sticks, binders, folders, & spiral Note books. We made quite a hall and a great donation to the Nye Communities Coalition
