Dr. Joe Gent.  Dr. Joe Gent Ed.D. is the current Director of Alternative, Distance, Adult, and Pre-K Education for the Nye County School District.  He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Iraq War/Global War on Terrorism O4/Major.  Dr. Gent has 20 years of experience in education.  He has worked for the Nye County School District since 2001 and has served as a special education teacher and administrator and a General education teacher and administrator.  Although Dr. Gent has served over Pre-K in one capacity or another since 2007, he has just recently assumed responsibilities over Alternative, Distance, and Adult Education.  Dr. Gent and his wife just celebrated their 24^th wedding anniversary.  They have four children, two boys, and two girls ages, 20, 17, 15, and 10.
