Pahrump Valley Rotary Interact Program

UPDATE FOR 2023

The High School Interact Club has been busy this year with their many projects such as raising money with the High School concession stand. Along with supporting the Pahrump Valley Rotary Club as volunteers in projects setting up events, selling lemonade, etc. The money they earn is put toward their projects, with this year’s focus on supporting Living Free by making Care Boxes for recovering addicts.

In addition, this Year we have four students going to the Rotary Youth Leadership program (Ryla). Ryla is a Rotary sponsored leadership training event. Rotary Clubs and the Rotary District cover all expenses for the participants. The format of the event varies from district to district, but commonly takes the form of a seminar, camp, or workshop to discuss leadership skills and to learn those skills through practice. This will assit the students to develop future leadership skills in their chosen profession. We are so proud of all are students at Pahrump Valley High.

The interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for high school students. It gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects that give back to the community, locally, and internationally. The interact Club is self-supporting and self-governing, thus encouraging the development of leadership skills and goodwill.  The purpose of interact is to provide opportunities for young people to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding.

Meetings: Thursdays during both lunches in library class room.
