In partnership with Corazon, another non-profit organization that has been working to assist and strengthen communities in Mexico for over 20 years, District 5300 has built homes and contributed funds to the education of the families we build for. District 5300 has participated in this everlasting project since 2007.

Global Hope Network, Intnl

Pahrump Valley Rotarians, Guy and Jan Piersall gave a presentation on the Global Hope Network. They both grew up in Oregon and attended the University of Oregon. After college Guy entered the business world of finance and insurance. Jan became an elementary and middle school teacher. In January 2017, Guy and Jan joined GHNI as staff in Partner Development in the US. They work with existing and new donors to assist them in partnering with GHNI projects and staff around the world. Guy and Jan travel primarily in the western US and leading trips to visit overseas GHNI projects and spread the mission of GHNI. It was very interesting all the work that these dedicated Pahrump Rotarians do worldwide and how easy it is for Rotary to join in.GHNI is helping villages worldwide come out of poverty and become self sustaining. They are also fighting human trafficking and slavery. Besides Rotary they are interested in partnering with individuals, businesses, and churches. FLAG EXCHANGE FROM VISITORS TO OUR CLUB FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

The Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions.

The Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International’s sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary “to do good in the world.” It has grown from an initial contribution of US$26.50 to more than US$1billion. It has one of the largest and most prestigious international fellowship programs in the world.

ROTARY FOUNDATION DINNER

Our club President, Eddie Williams attended the International convention from June 4 to 8th where more than 20,000 service-minded people from around the world  gathered in Houston for Rotary’s 113th annual international convention

The Rotary International Convention is an annual event that attracts thousands of members and program participants from all over the world. It brings the Rotary family together to learn from thought-provoking speakers, exchange innovative ideas, connect with old friends and new ones, and highlight our service that makes lasting change. For the first time, the 2022 Rotary International Convention in Houston, Texas, USA  expanded to invite local residents and like-minded leaders to join the fun and learn what Rotary can do in their communities.

Pres Ed arrived in Pasadena around 8:00am at the Rotary float hanger, there were only a few Rotarians working on decorating floats, but within an hour, there were hundreds of Rotarians/volunteers working on a variety of floats. The atmosphere went from eerie quietness to bustling like a major city. Pres Ed  spent a total of 7 hours decorating the Rotary float and met Rotarians from throughout America.

Pres Ed recommends every Rotarian put float decorating on their bucket list what a wonderful experience with Rotary friends.
